Aim: To fund projects aimed at people with Protected Characteristics, that align to the 6 Key Issues of the Partneriaeth Bwyd Ceredigion.

Outlined by the Equality Act 2010, protected characteristics were defined in law to prevent discrimination in the workplace for anyone because of the following:

● age

● gender reassignment

● being married or in a civil partnership

● being pregnant or on maternity leave

● disability

● race including colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin

● religion or belief

● gender

● sexual orientation

However, people can within these groups continue to be underrepresented. The aim of this fund is to ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to participate in activities, events and discussions related to shaping the food system.

•Projects need to be aimed at eliminating inequality, promoting equality, to enable and amplify participation of members of groups with one or more Protected Characteristics.

•Projects are encouraged to collaborate with partners from different sectors.

•Projects must align to one or more of the 6 Key Issues of the Partneriaeth Bwyd Ceredigion.

•There is a total grant fund of £24,000 available.

•Minimum grant per project is £500.

•Maximum grant per project is £2000.

•No match-funding is required.

•An end of project report must be submitted.

PARTNERIAETH BWYD CEREDIGION is a Local Food Partnership; working across the food system, LFPs bring individuals and organisations together with the aim of working towards an inclusive, equitable and sustainable local food system.

We aims to facilitate cross-sector collaborative activity which supports the local economy, enhances health and wellbeing, promote social and cultural regeneration, fosters nature recovery and helps to reduce emissions towards Net Zero.
