Come and learn how to be a nature friendly gardener & food grower at Denmark Farm.
Volunteers will receive hands-on practical training with our facilitators Angie & Andy Polkey, learn how to grow edible crops, plus care for a wildlife friendly garden and courtyard.
As part of our friendly little team of dedicated volunteers you will ensure that the garden is maintained, productive and attractive to wildlife at all times.
Volunteer days tend to start at 10am- 1pm.
Please let us know if you are coming, either by email or phone.
The programme is suitable for anyone from complete beginners, to those who already have some previous growing experience / knowledge. We will also be constructing some raised beds to make the garden more practical and accessible. There will be a range of tasks available from sowing, digging, planting, weeding, watering, cutting grass and basic carpentry.
Please bring outdoor clothing and packed lunch. Drinks and biscuits are provided. Lift shares can be arranged on request.
