Everyone is welcome to join us for volunteer events throughout the year. From building your skills, to helping maintain the varied habitats and rich biodiversity at Denmark Farm Conservation Centre.
By volunteering with us you will be helping manage our unique 40 acre nature reserve, which can then be enjoyed by all. So why not join us on one of our volunteer day’s, where you will meet like-minded people, learn new skills and make a positive difference for wildlife.
Tasks vary according to season and may include woodland management, clearing brambles, pruning shrubs & trees, checking bird and dormouse boxes for damage, maintaining paths & boardwalks – and various other jobs around the 40 acre site.
We like to give back to our volunteers as they are key for managing Denmark Farm for wildlife. So throughout the year we will offer a few volunteer training days, depending on funding and the season, learning about: tree identification through the seasons, plant identification, tool sharpening, coppicing skills, identification and monitoring of bumblebee’s, dragonflies, birds, bats, amphibians & reptiles, etc.

All our volunteering days are supervised by an experienced Activity Leader.
Volunteer days tend to start at 10am and finish around 3-4pm, depending on season, though you are welcome to join us for half a day.

Don’t worry if you haven’t any previous experience as we’ll provide all the guidance and tools you need.
Please bring outdoor clothing and packed lunch. Drinks and biscuits are provided. Lift shares can be arranged on request.
