Tir Coed connects people with land (Tir) and woods (Coed) by delivering outdoor training, learning, and wellbeing programmes across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and Powys. Our provision taps into the many benefits of working outdoors in nature, offering a nurturing environment that boosts both mental and physical health and wellbeing.
Previous participants have reported significant positive outcomes, such as reduced anxiety and improved mood, through engaging with the natural world. Activities like woodland management, sustainable horticulture and green woodworking not only provide practical skills but also foster a sense of achievement and community, contributing to overall wellbeing and resilience.
Through Tir Coed’s programmes, participants find renewed purpose and connection, demonstrating the profound impact of practical, hands-on activities in nature on health and wellbeing.
To find out more about our current courses, volunteering opportunities, or open days, please get in touch.
We are also able to offer any of our provision on a commercial basis. If you are interested in running an
activity session, training course, programme of learning or a team building session for your clients, service users or staff we can supply experienced Activity Leaders, all the planning, preparation and resources, and relevant health and safety cover tailored to the needs and interests of your group.
This can take place at one of our established outdoor sites or at your regular meeting space if suitable
for the activity.

Tir Coed gives opportunities for families to do activities and visit different environments, which they may not have done previously, or that they might have been a bit apprehensive of doing with a young family if these opportunities had not arisen.
