Funded activities
Here's the activities and projects funded so far under our Communities Count scheme!
Borth will be running fun cookery sessions focusing on affordable, healthy food on a budget, creating a two weekly meal planner suitable for each participant. Helping participants to have fun, enjoy a healthy diet and save money all at the same time.
CardiShed will offer a Women's Greenwood Project running untill the end of November.
Participants will learn the traditional craft of green woodwork helping them to design and make projects ranging from stools and benches to Welsh Stick Chairs.
Arts4Wellbeing's 'It adds up to wellbeing' project will support participants to design for a geodesic dome - using worksheets designed for the project, go into local woodland and cut hazel sticks, measure and whittle them to the correct length, learn how to make correct size connectors, measure and drill the connectors to enable the poles to be joined in triangles and hexagons to create an eco building.
Cymuned Pentop Community from Ysgol Gynradd Aberteifi and Wales & West Housing will be empowering a group of volunteers to plan, organise, and coordinate this year’s Cymuned Pentop Community project. The project will host free family fun days (6 summer of fun days; 1 autumn fun day) filled with games, sports, food, yoga, bushcraft and arts & crafts.
