Health in the Community Grant

Supporting locally led events that bring health information, health checks, or health-related advice into community settings. The grant aims to encourage partnership working and improve access to health and wellbeing support within local communities.

Funded events must:

  • Take place within a local community setting
  • Be delivered in partnership with at least two organisations
  • Include at least one organisation providing health checks, health screening, or health-related advice


Up to £300 are available per event

Events must take place by 31 March 2027

Cambrian Rail Partnership  Cambrian Community Fund 2026

Cambrian Railway Partnership is opening the Cambrian Community Fund. It is a small grants programme offering awards of between £200 and £1,000 to local groups within a six mile radius of a Cambrian railway station. It will offer financial support for projects that enhance shared community spaces, promote wellbeing, strengthen a sense of place and contribute to community development.

Fund opens on Monday 10th August 2026 at 10am and closes on Wednesday 9th September 2026 at 1pm

ELIGIBILITY

  • Organisations applying for the grant must:
  • Be a community organisation, charity,  CIC or group that has a bank account in the name of the organisation applying with two unrelated signatories
  • Be located within 6 miles (10km) of a Cambrian Railway station.  Activity does not need to be at the station itself.
  • Be led by or clearly benefit local communities.
  • Be accessible and inclusive to the intended beneficiaries.
  • Deliver a clear, measurable benefit to the local area or community wellbeing.
  • Be realistic in scope, with a clear timeline and budget.
  • Secure any required landowner permissions or partner agreements before work begins.

CRITERIA 

We welcome community‑led projects that bring people together, improve local spaces, and support local wellbeing. The fund supports a wide range of activities — from community gardens and intergenerational events to accessibility improvements, one‑day arts or heritage events. Projects should be community‑focused, inclusive, and deliver clear local benefit.  Railway related projects will also be welcomed. 

The following examples are intended to inspire ideas.  We welcome other projects that bring local benefits, supporting wellbeing and strengthen community connections:

  • Green Projects - Community gardens, green spaces or growing projects.
  • Improvement Projects -  Litter-pick & bench repair kit + community clean sweep
  • Sustainability / Climate Action - Community compost starter kit, Repair cafe pop up, Community Swap day
  • Local active travel, walking and cycling - Wayfinding Refresh, Local walks map, Walking buddy scheme, cycle confidence session
  • Sense of Place -  Knitting projects, local legends Storyboard, Community Quilt Station Welcome pack,(Leaflet, map, local history, places to visit)
  • Young / Older / Target Groups -Intergenerational gardening sessions, Memory lane project, intergenerational craft day.
  • Community Centre Support - pop up Cafe kit, Accessibility starter kit
  • Inclusion and accessibility - tactile map or large print information board/flyers
  • Art, Community or Heritage - Installations or interpretation boards at and around stations, Artist in a day, Heritage object loan box
  • History & Interpretation – Railway history exhibitions, station heritage talks, local interpretation boards

Funded projects must be fully spent by the end of Feb 2027 and the completed end of project report submitted by Monday 6th April 2027.

Community Cohesion Small Grants Fund - 2026/27

We are pleased to announce the launch of the next round of the Mid and South West Wales Community Cohesion Small Grants Fund.

The deadline for applications is 26 June 2026.

The Community Cohesion Small Grants Fund supports local initiatives that strengthen community relationships and promote safer, more inclusive environments across Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and Powys.

The fund is designed to encourage projects that foster mutual understanding, address community tensions, support integration, and celebrate diversity. Eligible organisations may apply for grants ranging from £500 to £3,000.

Maximum amount: £1,000

Closing date for applications: Midnight, Sunday 5th October 2025.

Warm Welcome Spaces

Ein Cartref, Ein Cynefin Local Places for Nature Small Grants Scheme 25/26

Ceredigion Nature Partnership has funding for projects to create, restore or enhance natural assets and to deliver nature on your doorstep where people live, work and access public services. The scheme is funded by the Welsh Government’s Local Places for Nature fund.

Applications are invited from Constituted Groups, Registered Charities, Companies, Private Business and Public Sector organisations providing services to benefit nature and communities in Ceredigion.

Cynnal y Cardi Community Development and Support fund

Cynnal y Cardi Community Development and Support Fund
£1,000 and up to £50,000

Cynnal y Cardi's Community Development and Support Fund provides support to communities which includes revenue expenditure and small capital improvements. Applicants must be in receipt of community support and must complete the application form in consultation with the following community support providers:

  • CAVO Cymdeithas Mudiadau Gwirfoddol Ceredigion
  • Severn Wye Energy Agency Ltd
  • Cwmpas

The grant will be open for applications on a first come first served basis between 18th June 2025 and 30th September 2025 or until the fund is fully allocated. All activity must be completed, and funding claimed by the 31st of January, 2026.
