Cerrig Milltir 10 mlynedd

Cwblhaodd yr awdures leol Julie Brominicks y prosiect 10 mlynedd hwn yn 2022 pan gafodd ei llyfr ei ryddhau.

Ar y daith gerdded blwyddyn yn 2012, aeth hi heibio nifer o gerrig milltir drwy ei thaith gerdded pellter hir ar hyd Gororau Cymru. Rydym yn edrych ar sut y gall pen-blwyddi a threigl amser fod yn fapiau ein dyfodol wrth i Cletwr ddathlu ei 10fed pen-blwydd eleni.

The Edge of Cymru yw’r stori am daith gerdded Julie Brominicks ar hyd ffin Cymru yn ystod blwyddyn. Fel addysgwr roedd hi’n gwybod llawer am adnoddau naturiol y wlad. Ond fel mewnfudwr hir sefydledig o Loegr a dysgwyr Cymraeg mwy diweddar, roedd hi eisiau gwybod mwy am ei hanes, am Gymru heddiw, a’i lle ynddi.

Yn ymgais o ddarganfyddiad personol, mae naratif The Edge of Cymru hefyd yn ffordd adfywiol wahanol o edrych ar le, hunaniaeth, cof a pherthyn.

My first book ‘The Edge of Cymru; A Journey’, has been published by Seren Books.

Mae fy llyfr cyntaf, ‘The Edge of Cymru; A Journey’, wedi ei gyhoeddi gan Seren.

10 year Milestones

Local author Julie Brominicks completed this 10 year project in 2022 with the release of her book.

The one year walk in 2012 took her past many milestones through her long-distance walk along the Welsh Borders. We look at how anniversaries and the passing of time can be our future maps as Cletwr celebrates it’s 10th Birthday this year.

The Edge of Cymru is the story of Julie Brominicks’ walk along the border of Wales in the course of a year. As an educator she knew a lot about the country’s natural resources. But as a long established incomer from England and more recent Welsh learner, she wanted to know more about its history, about Wales today, and her place in it.

A quest of personal discovery, the narrative of The Edge of Cymru is also a refreshingly different way of looking at place, identity, memory and belonging.
