About

A community-led charity for people with chronic and life-limiting conditions.

HAHAV is a volunteer led charity, set up in 2015 to provide practical help, social care and companionship for people in Ceredigion with chronic, life limiting illness. Our support offer is also open to family, carers and those loved ones affected.

In late 2019, our charity moved to new headquarters at Plas Antaron (Southgate, Aberystwyth), a former hotel. We now offer a range of Living Well services, including:

  • Movement and art sessions
  • Support Groups
  • A weekly afternoon tea for people with dementia/their carers
  • Bereavement counselling and support
  • Holistic therapies, including Reiki and Oncology Massage
  • Events for carers

In addition to our services at Plas Antaron, we run outreach programmes across the county. This includes a Home-Support service for people in their last 12 months of life, to provide practical and emotional support; and a Grief Companion project. Both these services are volunteer-led.

We also have a busy charity shop, and a warehouse - both in Aberystwyth - which facilitate our retail operations.
