Teach skills for life to young people

Lampeter based Scout Group with sections for Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. We cover ages 4 to 14 and as you can imagine we need a varied set of resources and qualities in all our volunteers to teach skills for life and the opportunity for the young people to mak etheir own choices and carry out adventurous activites in a safe environment. To give somehting back to the community in whatever way we can from litter picking, tea parcels, and occasional evenings hostd by the lovley Grannys Kitchen to let our young people hear stories from older genrations about their scouting and guiding days all over a cup of tea and cake. Getting back into the community and uporting each other are the aim for the future. Watch them grow in confidence and build communty spirit and care about the envoirmen that they live. We also have the go ahead to launch a new Explorer group that will extend our age range up to 18 year olds when we hope they will enter the world of adult volunteers and then give back too.
