Borth Community Hub has been supporting local families since 2008 and they have been busy over the last few weeks getting their outdoor area ready for their re-opening.
Thanks to Families First funding they have been able to create a new sheltered area, and a Youth Led Grant from CAVO has enabled them to build a new raised bed and purchase planters and benches. They have created a community herb garden in one planter and planted wildflower seeds, pollinator plants and vegetables.

A huge thank you to our volunteers who have worked hard to create our wildlife friendly garden.
The Hub Youth Club has restarted, and families have been able to come back to the Community Hub in small outdoor groups. We're lucky to have such a lovely garden to enjoy.
So great to be seeing our families this week and delivering some outdoor sessions again.
Yesterday was language and play - words, actions, hand prints and stories in the garden
Borth Caring Communities
Older people and families in Borth have been busy being green fingered growing seeds that were distributed by the Hub, they are keeping some of the seedlings for themselves but other will go into the community flowerbed and into the garden at the Hub.
Some people have also been able to donate cuttings from their own gardens

A volunteer has also planted up spring bulbs that have been given to the oldest members of the community and those who find it hard to leave their house or garden.
This was photo was taken in Mid April..... still looking good
The large planter funded by the CAVO Youth Led Grant is being planted up with herbs and edible plants so people can come and take some as they need them ...bit like edible Mach but on a small scale !
Thank you to Tom for our new raised bed.
