Sandy Bear is a Welsh bereavement charity that supports children and young people who have been bereaved. We work across Wales, subject to funding, offering support to ensure that children and young people have the best outcomes after someone they love dies.
We are looking for Volunteer Fundraising Support
What is the role?
Sandy Bear relies on charitable donations, both large and small. We are looking for volunteers in the community who can help with raising much needed funds. This could involve attending events and running a raffle, to organising a local pub quiz night, 5k walk or distributing and collecting charity boxes. Sandy Bear has fundraising packs that give you all the information that you need to organise a successful event, or ten.
The role will include:
- Helping to research and contact organisations for raffle prize donations
- Supporting fundraising campaigns and events
- Distributing collection tins and promotional materials in the community
- Advocating for Sandy Bear and raising awareness of our work
What We’re Looking For:
- Enthusiastic and friendly individuals
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Confident in handling cash
- A willingness to give time, whether regularly or occasionally
