The library is run by volunteers, and has been since Ceredigion County Council announced the closure of the library in New Quay.  The library service began on 1st June 2014 in the old Library building next to Costcutters.  The Library has now moved to the downstairs of New Quay Memorial Hall.

The Library provides:

  • Free access to a constantly updated selection of books. There are both fiction and non-fiction books for adults, teenagers and children; a selection of reference books; plus a range of large print books and talking books for people who are visually impaired.
  • Books are available in both English and Welsh.
  • Free internet access and WiFi.
  • Free access to a wide range of online e-books, magazines and articles.
  • Free access to online resources such as Britannica, Grove Music and Oxford English Dictionary.
  • Access to a constantly updated selection CDs and DVDs.
