The Great Big Tin Craft at The Ark health food shop and clinic
We've partnered with The Ark in Haverfordwest to coincide with the St Davids Peninsula Great Big Green Week and raise awareness of a shared mission for more sustainable purchasing to bring you The Great Big Tin Craft!
Join us on Saturday 25th September upstairs at The Ark to learn how to transform average food or drink tin cans into magical creative wonders! This event will be facilitated by Haverfordwest’s craft extraordinaire Sally Williams, who will guide you through the basics of tin can cutting and folding to help you create your own masterpieces and return home with fun upcycled items for the home.
This is a bookable AND drop-in event!
There is limited space so please do RESERVE YOUR PLACE indicating what time you'd like to arrive (10am or 12pm).
We'll be crafting from 10am until 2pm and depending on numbers, we'll be able to invite drop-in participants on the day too.
All materials supplied - just bring yourself. No experience necessary. This event is not suitable for children under 12 years due to the nature of materials used.
On arrival:
Make your way through The Ark health food shop and follow the signs upstairs to the Health Clinic rooms where the event is taking place. In line with Covid policy, we ask that you wear a face covering (if applicable) whilst travelling through the shop - this can be removed once you are sitting comfortably in the workshop.

Recommended car parks (both 5 mins walk away):

More about St Davids Penisular Great Big Green Week
WHAT IS IT?
From Saturday 18th to Sunday 26th September, communities across the country will join together for The Great Big Green Week. Organised by The Climate Coalition and led in Wales by Climate Cymru, it will be the biggest event for climate and nature ever in the UK, and everyone’s invited! In order to celebrate local action and activities, as well as encourage more people in the peninsula to be involved, EcoDewi is coordinating the St Davids Peninsula Great Big Green Week as part of the wider campaign.
WHY NOW?
We are seeing the impacts of extreme weather events caused by climate change on the people and places we love both here in the UK and abroad. The time is now to do everything we can to protect them. Climate change is the fight of our lifetime and we need to let our leaders know that we expect more to be done.
This year, we in the UK have a huge opportunity to raise the ambition of plans to tackle climate change. The UK is hosting a major UN climate summit, known as COP26, in Glasgow this November. This means parliament and local authorities alike want to be seen as ambitious in tackling climate change. The Time is Now for a Great Big Green Week that sets the stage for the most ambitious climate summit ever.
