This class is for those with Arthritis or other Musculo skeletal conditions. It includes a functional strength training section, an element of modified seated yoga to improve flexibility and range of movement and also traces of mindfulness centred around a gentle qigong routine.
Working from the principle of “start where you are, use what you have, do what you can” the class offers something for everyone to help them increase physical fitness and overall wellbeing.
The only essential thing you’ll need is a sturdy chair. It might also be useful to have a long scarf/tie for some of the moves, and if you want to challenge yourself you could use small hand held weights for elements of the class. However, these additional items are entirely optional.
