Cambrian Harp Festival 2026 Returns to Celebrate Wales’ Rich Harp Tradition May 15-17
Llanrhystud, Wales – 15-17 May— The Cambrian Harp Festival 2026 will return this summer, bringing together some of the most talented harpists, composers, and music lovers from across Wales and beyond. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Cambrian landscape, the festival promises a vibrant programme of concerts, workshops, masterclasses, and community events celebrating the harp’s enduring place in Welsh culture.
Running from 15-17 May, the festival will transform Llanrhystud into a hub of musical creativity. Audiences will experience performances ranging from traditional Welsh harp music to contemporary compositions and cross-genre collaborations.
Festival organisers say the 2026 programme will highlight both internationally acclaimed performers and emerging artists, creating a dynamic space where tradition and innovation meet.
“The harp is at the heart of Welsh musical identity,” said Helen Naylor, festival director. “The Cambrian Harp Festival is about celebrating that heritage while inspiring the next generation of harpists and audiences.”

Headline evening concerts featuring leading harpists from Wales and around the world including Irish Harper Luke Webb, Elin Y Delyn and Cambrian Harp Ensemble and Llanrhystud Chorale.

Hands-on workshops and masterclasses for players of all levels with Irish Harper Luke Webb, Karhryn Rees head of Harp at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and Elin Y Delyn.

Discover The Harp encouraging new players to explore the harp with our musical director, course includes a personalised harp - made in Wales to take home and keep.

Instrument exhibitions from renowned harp makers

Collaborative performances blending harp with local community music making.
In addition to performances, visitors will be able to explore the cultural history of the harp in Wales, with Elin Y Delyn at her workshop, meet our harp maker and our harp tutors and students.
The festival also aims to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for newcomers. Whether attendees are lifelong harp enthusiasts or simply curious about the instrument, the programme offers something for everyone.
