Come and join our Compassionate Café
HAHAV is a launching a new, monthly compassionate café activity.
These will be informal, drop-in discussion sessions where will be looking at themes around death and dying. These are not easy conversations to have, but through kindness and compassion we can support one another even in the most challenging of times. Thinking about our deaths can weigh heavily on us and, the strain on our families when communicating our personal wishes, but sometimes it can be good to share and know how to approach these subjects.
The next Compassionate Café at Plas Antaron is on Monday, 13 December, between 11.30-1.00pm. The session will be facilitated by Luke Conlon and is in collaboration with Community Choice and Inclusion. The theme for this discussion is on ‘our wishes for our future care’. We will be discussing advanced care planning, looking at what this means, who we involve and why we need a plan in the first place. We will be looking at different approaches taking in both practical and emotional issues. The café is an accessible and safe place, where we listen with understanding and sensitivity and can start life forming conversations. Everyone is welcome, you can attend in person or join us online. Refreshments including homemade soup will be available. For more details and to reserve a place please contact Susie on 01970 611 550 email: [email protected]
