As we welcome in 2022, all of us at the Hub are very much hoping that we shall be able to resume our normal services without any interruption, but as the Coronavirus situation is currently, things remain fluid.
Our aim is to send those January blues packing!
- Flexibility is key to this and so we will continue with our activities as best we can by asking everyone to observe two metre social distancing and wearing substantial face masks. At the Family Centre all windows and doors will be open for adequate ventilation, so if you are attending an activity, do wrap up well – don’t forget your thermals and fingerless gloves and a hat is always a good idea!
- If you are coming along to an activity, please do carry out a Lateral Flow Test beforehand and as always, we ask you to register and book in advance of any activity.
- Given the uncertainty that we are facing because of this latest Omicron variant of the virus, please call us beforehand to check that an activity is still on just in case there have had to be any last minute changes.

Fridays is ‘Walking for Wellbeing’ in and around Borth along the flat. There are two short walks each commencing from the Community Hall in Borth at 10.30 am and 11.00 am. You can take part in both if you like. Remember to bring some comfortable shoes and some waterproof clothing. The walks are not taxing and offer an ideal opportunity to get out of the house, blow away the cobwebs and meet others for a chat.

Don’t forget about our Pedometer Challenge – this is walking wherever you like following a ‘virtual route’ provided to you – you can do this around the house or in the garden or on the seafront, but in your imagination, you might be in middle of the Scottish Highlands or on Blackpool Promenade! You can do this on your own or with a friend and you record your activity on a pedometer. Every week, our co-ordinator, Carol Bainbridge will give you a phonecall to see how you got on. This activity is proving to be immensely popular. Move more and sit less this January! Contact: [email protected]
